New High Recordings has signed the innovative and multi-talented Los Angeles composer/musician/filmmaker and educator, Hans Fjellestad. The New High will release “Maximum Electrons” (a best of compilation of his 5 previous releases) worldwide in Spring 2020.
Hans Fjellestad has been touring and recording extensively as a solo artist and in collaboration with numerous players on the experimental music scene in over a dozen countries for decades.
The classically trained pianist and ‘ A Mad Scientist Improviser’ (as International DJ Magazine dubbed him) is an electronic musician that embodies the true essence of unrestricted music.
Hans studied music composition and improvisation at UCSD and is currently a faculty lecturer at UCLA.
As a filmmaker, Hans helmed the critically acclaimed documentary feature Moog (featuring, Bob Moog, Bernie Worell, Money Mark, Bootsy Collins, Keith Emerson, Rick Wakeman, Jean Jacques Perrey, and Gershon Kingsley to name a few) Sunset Strip, Radio Caroline Sounding the Space, When the World Breaks, Frontier Life and The Heart is a Drum Machine.
